Vote for Dominique Chatters for
Chesterfield School Board ~ Dale District
For six years, I’ve been your advocate in the Dale District. As a mom of four, I’ve volunteered my time to bring your concerns to the School Board, the Board of Supervisors and the General Assembly. You’ve seen me on the news and at public meetings when the
politicians take votes that affect YOUR life. I am honored that you’ve trusted me to be your voice. Now I’m asking you to entrust me with a seat at the table. Please vote for me for the school board!
Why am I the right choice? Because your voice matters!
Here is why I can make your voice count. I believe that our public schools are a vital part of American democracy. They prepare our children for engaged and productive lives. You deserve a leader and advocate who can fight for three things – parents, teachers and schools –in every conceivable arena.
I’m a mom of 4 children in Chesterfield County Public Schools (Manchester Middle and Hopkins Road Elementary) and a volunteer basketball/volleyball coach
My 20 years of leadership and service include 15 years of U.S. Army active service as an officer and two combat tours
In my current job I am an Educator and Course Director for Army Sustainment University, teaching business and logistics to Soldiers and Civilians
I have served as PTA/PTSA President, Vice President or Executive Board at:
o Hopkins Road Elementary – President 2016-2020
o Hening Elementary – Executive Board – 2019- 2021; Vice President -2021-2022
o Manchester Middle – President – 2022-present
Here is why I’m the best-positioned candidate to advocate for fairness and fight to ensure our schools have the money and resources they need.
I have consistently spoken out at School Board meetings for truth and transparency in decisions that affect us all
I’ve testified at the General Assembly on proposed education-related laws on key topics such as SB598
I’ve spoken out at Board of Supervisors meeting so they understand the needs of Dale district and our schools
When History SOL revisions were proposed at the Virginia Department of Education earlier this year, I spoke out in Williamsburg to question the revisions
I’m a member of and education lead for the Chesterfield Collaborative for Equal Justice
I’m a life member of the NAACP and serve on the Chesterfield Chapter Education Committee
I’ve volunteered with the Chesterfield County Democratic Committee, including serving as secretary
I am a member of the 4th Congressional District Committee
I’ve co-organized protests, rallies and petitions for the well being of our kids and staff
on subjects such as COVID safety protocols, protect the rights of our LGBTQIA+ community, and increase school funding
